EVEWiki in a Nutshell

EVEWiki is a free, nonprofit fansite wiki hosted by EVE-Extra for the massively-multiplayer online game EVE-Online, which is developed and published by CCP Games. EVEWiki was founded in November 2005 by Ferrer in an effort to bring all existing information and guides pertaining to EVE into one coherent spot.

What Goes On

EVEWiki is a wiki: an open source, freely editable community resource. It is run by several administrators as well as an editor community which creates and improves upon articles. Everyone helps everyone else as we attempt to catalog all useful information about EVE: guides, missions, corporation data, alliances and personalities, gameplay mechanics, and whatever else is contributed.

Who Helps?

Anyone can help improve the articles; in fact, one does not even need to register or log in to make an improvement to any non-protected page. However, if someone plans to be active in the EVEWiki community, it is very beneficial to register so that others can reference your work by name, and so that you can track your articles and edits more easily. Edits by non-logged in users and users without confirmed e-mails have been temporarily deactivated due to spam issues --Lupas 13:40, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

While one can add any information they want to about EVE, it is generally a good idea to make sure that you aren't re-inventing the wheel, or developing identical pages in parallel to each other. Editors and administrators discuss articles and sections via talk pages so that all are working in the same direction (instead of against the ends of each other).
