Kill mail

From EVEWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Description

A kill mail (often abbreviated to KM). These kill mails are what a player receives in his combat log when he either gets the final blow on a ship or looses his own ship. The KM is proof of the kill, often placed on killboards to show off or for others to learn from them. They state:

  • Who participated in the kill (including which alliance / corporation / militia they are in).
  • Which ship they were in.
  • What module/ammo they used.
  • How much damage they did.

There is also information on the victim:

  • His name along with his corporation, alliance and militia.
  • His ship type.
  • Destroyed items, (This is because when a player's ship is killed, some of the modules are entirely destroyed).
  • Dropped items, (The items which are not destroyed).
